Pre-Revival Musical
April 20, 2014, 6:35 pm
The Baptist Ministers Association, led by Fairview’s Pastor J. A. Reed, Jr., is sponsoring its 70th Annual Simultaneous Revival in 2014.  Churches from throughout the Greater Oklahoma City area will be participating in this massive, city-wide evangelistic effort.

The Revival will be the week of April 21 - 27 with preachers from across the United States participating as evangelists.  The revival carries the distinction of being the oldest community-wide revival in the United States. To punctuate this week of preaching and celebrate this spiritual milestone, a celebration musical will be held Easter Sunday night, April 20, 2014, 6:35 p.m., at Fairview Baptist Church. The musical theme is “Celebrating the Christ We Preach!” 1 Corinthians 1:23-25.

This celebration in song will feature singers and musicians from across the Oklahoma City area. The goal is to include all churches of every denomination in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas.  Pastors and Evangelists that have been a part of the Simultaneous Revival for 30 years or more will be honored at the Musical.

Rehearsals for the celebration choir will be held at the Fairview Church, Tuesday, April 15, 2014, 7pm, and Saturday, April 19, 2014, 5pm.

Those at the helm of this celebration are Dr. M. L. Jemison, Pastor, St. John Baptist Church and Program Chairman for the Revival, Ms. Valarie Howard, Deliverance and Praise Church, Mr. Anttwain Cox, Northeast Baptist Church and Ms. Velina L. Davenport, Tabitha Baptist Church. For more information regarding the celebration and rehearsals, please call 405-823-3766, 405- 837-1190 or 405-826-9833.
