Fairview Missionary Baptist Church continues its celebration of Black History Month.

On Sunday February 16, 2020, during 10am Morning Worship, the Music and Fine Arts Ministry’s Drama Ministry will present a short skit entitled "I Was, I Am, We Are Fairview," directed by Melva Franklin,  Drama Ministry Director.  Sister Johnneese Shree Reed Walter will bring the morning message.   Sister Walter is a life-long member of Fairview and has served and continues to serve in various leadership positions at the Church.  She is the current President of the Woman’s Auxiliary to the Oklahoma Baptist State Convention.

The month’s celebration will culminate on Sunday, February 23, with the presentation of “The John A. Reed, Jr. Spirit of the Community Award”. The award presentations will be made during the 10:00 a.m. worship hour.  The Spirit of the Community Award was created by Fairview Pastor Dr. John A. Reed, Jr. as a way to recognize citizens who have gone above the call of duty by volunteering their time and resources for the betterment of the community.

Rev. Kraig L. Pullam, Senior Pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Ft. Worth, Texas, will be the guest preacher for 10:00 a.m. worship on that day.  Rev. Pullam was Evangelist for Fairview’s Youth Revival for several years and has also served as facilitator for workshops at the church.

Kraig Lowell Pullam is a native of Corpus Christi, Texas.  He accepted his calling to preach the Gospel in January of 1994, at the age of fifteen.  He earned a B.A. Degree in Biblical Studies with a minor in English Literature and a Master of Divinity Degree in Biblical Languages.

Pastor Kraig is a 6th generation Pastor and Preacher.  He served as Assistant to the Pastor alongside his father, Rev. William L. Pullam, at St. John First Baptist Church (Corpus Christi, TX) for four years, Pastor of Christian Education at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (Houston, TX) for four years, and as the Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church (Pearland, TX) and the Mt. Salem Baptist Church (Victoria, TX).  On August 23, 2016, he was called to serve as the Senior Pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Ft. Worth.   His preaching and teaching gifts have taken him across the nation and around the world.  He is an audacious advocate of faith, family, education, and community.

The public is invited to attend the month’s events.  Fairview is located at 1700 N. E. 7th Street in Oklahoma City.  Dr. John A. Reed, Jr., is Senior Pastor and Rev. Derrick E. Walter, Sr., serves as Assistant Pastor.
