Fairview Baptist Celebrate Service of Pastoral Leaders

The Fairview Church Family will observe the 53rd Pastoral Anniversary of Senior Pastor Dr. J. A. Reed, Jr. and the 4th Anniversary of Assistant Pastor Rev. Derrick Walter, Sr. and family during the month of March. The theme for the celebration is “What the Bible Says About Our Pastor: Called Servant of God,” Romans 10:15.
Worship celebrations will be held on Wednesday nights, March 2, 9, and 16, and on Sundays, March 13 and 20, 2016.
Guest churches and pastors for the Wednesday, March 2, worship are: New Union Baptist, Rev. Kelly Booker; Unity Baptist, Rev. L. Mike Woodberry; Wildewood Baptist, Rev. Earl Bryant, and Pilgrim Rest Baptist, Rev. Elvin Mack, Sr. Visiting churches will provide music and Rev. Kelly Booker will bring the message. Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. This Wednesday night’s service is “Throwback Wednesday.” The worship period will reflect on and recreate some of the traditions that were carried out a pastor’s anniversary in 1963, when Rev. Reed first arrived at Fairview.
Rev. E. Jennings Tyson will be the preacher for the Wednesday, March 9, worship service. Guest churches and pastors include: New Hope Baptist, Rev. E. J. Tyson; Prospect Baptist, Dr. Lee Cooper; Northeast Baptist, Rev. Michael McDaniel and Holy Temple Baptist, Rev. Frank McClarty. The invited churches will provide the music.
Sunday, March 10, Rev. Reginald C. Payne, Pastor of the Full Gospel Baptist Church, Los Angeles, California, will be the guest preacher for the 10:00 a.m. worship hour. Fairview’s Music Ministry will sing.
On Wednesday night, March 16, guest churches and pastors for the 7:00 p.m. worship are: Rev. Ricky Patton and Holy United Life Changing Church; Rev. Vance Roland and Fellowship Baptist; and Rev. Derrick Scobey and Ebenezer Baptist. Rev. Patton will bring the message and each church will provide music.
The celebration will end on Sunday, March 20. Guest churches for 10:00 a.m. morning worship will be Central Baptist, Chandler, Rev. James E. Reed, Sr., Pastor, and Loving Mt. Calvary Baptist, Muskogee, Rev. Gary Hall, Pastor. Rev. James Reed will bring the message and Central and Mt. Calvary choirs will sing.
At 3:00 p.m., churches and pastors scheduled to attend include: St. John Missionary Baptist, Dr. Major Jemison; Emmanuel Baptist, Rev. Chester West; New Hope Baptist, Chickasha, Rev. Al Walter; Greater Bethel Baptist, Rev. Teron Gaddis; Tabitha Baptist, Rev. Jeff Mitchell; Galilee Baptist, Shawnee, Rev. Anthony Rhone; Central Baptist, Rev. James Reed, Sr.; and Loving Mt. Calvary, Rev. Gary Hall. The afternoon message will be brought by Dr. Jemison and visiting choirs will sing.
The community is invited to join with Fairview in showing appreciation and love to these servants. Sister Evalia Darling is Anniversary Chairperson and Sister Patti Brown is Co-Chairperson.
