Fairview Celebrates 22nd Annual Friends Day

By M. Patterson, Director; Fairview Communication & PR |  May 16, 2019

Pastor John A. Reed, Jr. and the Fairview Baptist Church Family invite the community to worship with them on Sunday, May 26, as they celebrate their 22nd Annual Friends Day.   The theme for the occasion is “Reaching Our Friends With the Gospel,” I Corinthians 15:1-4.
The occasion, which is evangelistic in nature, is a time set aside to celebrate friendships.  It involves the entire membership engaged in inviting friends, especially those that are unsaved and unchurched, to share in worship.  Reverend Cleo McGlory, Evangelism Minister at Fairview and Chairman for the day’s activities, asked that each Fairview member would bring as many friends as they can influence, “that the Lord’s House might be filled.”
The day begins with Family and Friends Breakfast at 8:00 a.m., followed by Church School at 8:30 a.m. and Morning Worship at 10:00 a.m.  Rev. Lincoln Montgomery, Pastor of Tabernacle Bible Church (The Church Without Walls), Wichita, Kansas, will be the preacher for the 10:00 a.m. Worship Period.
Rev. Montgomery, a gifted teacher and anointed preacher, was born into the Tabernacle Church family, and, in August 2018, celebrated 31 years of servant-leadership as Senior Pastor.   He also celebrates 45 years of preaching and teaching the Word of God, having traveled the country doing revivals, conferences, seminars and workshops.
“Some people who would never think of attending church by themselves will respond positively if asked,” stated Senior Pastor Reed.  “We’re reaching out to our friends from throughout the Oklahoma City community to attend that day and experience the joy of Christ.”
Fairview is located at 1700 N. E. 7th Street in Oklahoma City.  For additional information, go to www.fairviewokc.com or call the church at 405-232-1621.  For transportation, call or text 405-471-9494.
