Fairview Baptist Church, located at 1700 N. E. 7th Street in Oklahoma City, has scheduled its Fourth Children, Youth, Young Adult and Mid-Lifers “Are You About That Life” Spiritual Growth and Development Conference for August 17 – 19, 2017.  The theme for the Conference is "Victory with Jesus," I Corinthians 15:57.

“This Conference is designed to reshape personal lives of all the targeted age groups, birth to 60 years, according to Biblical patterns,” stated Senior Pastor J. A. Reed, Jr.  “It will give a basic pattern of equipping the saints, personal Christian growth, doctrinal integrity and the ultimate goal of building the church,” he continued.

Each group will be engaged in concurrent sessions with topics and activities that will concentrate on the two aspects of personality development:  the natural, human personality and the Christian personality.  Areas of growth and development that the Conference will address are:  1) Physical, 2) Intellect, 3) Social, 4) Emotional, and 5) Spiritual.

Sessions designed for the children (infant – 11 years), youth (12 – 17 years), young adults (18 – 40 years) and mid-lifers (41 – 60) will be held on Thursday and Friday nights from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.   The lineup of presenters and facilitators include pastors, ministers and lay persons experienced in each of their respective areas.  Guest facilitators are Rev. Reginald Bachus, Associate Pastor at the Abyssinian Baptist Church, New York, NY (Young Adults), and Pastor Gary and Jessica Russell, Greater Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, Oklahoma City (Youth Group).  Also leading groups will be Fairview members Delores Watley and Kimberly Watley (Children’s Group) and Johnneese Walter and Rev. Timothy Jones (Mid-Lifers).

Friday night's agenda includes a Community Worship Service, with Rev. Reginald Bachus as the preacher.  The service will begin at 8:45 p.m.   Members of the Community, regardless of age, are invited to be a part of that service.
