Fairview to Host Voter Education Night

By E. Harris; J. A. Reed |  October 6, 2016

Fairview Missionary Baptist Church will host a Voter Education Night on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at 7:00pm. The event is sponsored by Fairview’s Social Action Ministry, led by Teresa R. Hill, and will feature a discussion on the various state questions that will be on the ballot in November.

“This forum is for educational purposes concerning the Oklahoma 2016 General Election ballot, which includes several state questions that address a range of issues.  These state questions give voters an opportunity to decide the fate of proposed amendments to the Oklahoma Constitution and Statutes,” stated Dr. John A. Reed, Jr., Senior Pastor at Fairview.  He further stated, “This is a non-partisan forum and there will be no discussion concerning any candidates.”

Various political representatives, attorneys and other community leaders will be on hand to answer questions and provide unbiased information to assist the voter in making educated, informed decisions at the polls.

The event is open to the public and all citizens are invited to attend.

For more information, please contact the church office at (405) 232-1621.  Fairview is located at 1700 N. E. 7th Street in Oklahoma City.
