Ministry Purpose: 

In following the leadership and vision of the pastor, the Children and Youth Ministry leaders have designed and developed a ministry model and plan of action to give some central direction and unification to the Ministry. 

      In keeping with the Fairview Baptist Church mission statement – “Growing Our Church – Our Priority:  Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry and Evangelism,” the Children and Youth Ministry has endeavored to provide the materials needed to successfully teach the youth of Fairview how to build their lives upon Jesus Christ.  The following Mission statement was formulated to help guide the direction of the Ministry:

•  To uplift the name of Jesus Christ through action, attitudes, and activities. 

• To establish, maintain and expect excellence in service to God. 

• To develop a continually increasing level of spiritual maturity and resolve to a deeper commitment to the cause of Christ and His church.

 Objectives

• Continue to unify the various youth activities into one centralized Youth Ministry
• Increase the level of commitment of children and youth leaders and workers
• Involve every person under the age of 18 in the Fairview Baptist Children and Youth Ministry activities
• Improve planning and implementation

 The Children and Youth Ministry is composed of four interlocking and interrelated components, designed to either teach the work of the church, assist them in learning the work of the church, or instructing them how to be the church. 

    “CHILDREN’S MINISTRY ignites ministries that affect children’s lives with the love of Jesus so every child knows and experiences His grace. The mission of the Youth Division is to serve our young, assisting them in understanding Jesus Christ  - that is to evangelize the lost and disciple the converted.  In addition, providing training programs for youth and those involved in ministry.  We provide resources for evangelism and discipleship.

    Fairview is committed to training our youth spiritually and culturally.   Our youth ministry is a creative environment challenged to embrace their ethnicity and to appreciate diversity.  Children hold a special place at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church.  At Fairview, we believe that every child should know and experience the love of God.  We teach a Christ-centered teaching and learning environments.  Our leaders are united in purpose and give hope to our young.   This ministry is designed to serve our young people and assisting them with a better understanding.  We provide resources for evangelism and discipleship. We are concerned with young people, promoting and sustaining a vision built on the empowerment of young people.

    OUR VISION: Every child knows experiences and responds to God's grace through: Christ-centered teaching/learning environments, Harbors of hope, involved faith communities, Leaders united in purpose and, Dedicated child advocates.

    Fairview believes that every child should know about the experiences and responds to God's grace.   We are a growing fellowship of believers and as we grow, there are more and more opportunities for your child to become involved in meaningful activities that will help them become all which God intended for every child.  Our teachers and volunteers here are committed to developing children's love for God and His people.

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen" (Matthew 28: 19-20).

Wednesday Night Bible Class - For children begins at 7 pm and we do understand that that the obligations of school functions, family responsibilities and other relationship can be difficult.  However, we'd like you to know that we are here on Wednesday night.  Come join us.  There are classes for all ages.  We have a variety of events for young people and there is much more for them to experience at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church.

Children's Church -

Youth Choir - Make a joyful noise unto the Lord! Join the choir as we lead the music ministry. Ages 12 and up lift their voices by singing praises to the Lord.

JR Junior Choir- Sing unto the Lord a new song!  The time for rehearsal is being set.

Youth Usher Board- The Usher Board would like to invite you to join them as they serve in ministry.  If interested they meet on the 1st Monday of each month at 6pm.  They will usher on the 2nd Sunday at both services, 0800 and 10:45am. We are here to provide a safe and nurturing environment where your child will learn, in an age-appropriate manner, to Grow, Reach, Affirm, Care, and Exalt in the Glory of Christ. Come join the celebration.
