Nurse/Healthcare Model

Ministry Purpose
  • To be a church nurse, one must first of all be a Christian and have the ability to display God's love.
  • To be a church nurse, one must first of all be a Christian and have the ability to display God's love.
  • A church nurse uses the gift given by God, to glorify God.
  • Church nursing is a calling and a mission.  A Christian must follow Christ
  • The church nurse serves the church and its programs.
  • The Nurses' Ministry is on duty each Sunday to povidee first-aid to anyone who becomes ill during church services and serve those who are in need of care because of illness of the mind and/or body.
  • When invited, the nurses attend services at other churches along with Pastor Reed.
  • Individually, one must be dedicated, well-acquainted in nursing services, first-aid, and have compassion for humanity.
  • The nurse must be a good listener, attentive and a confidant

Goals and Objectives:

  • Use God-given gifts to help those in need.
  • Be dedicatd to the Ministry
  • Be First Aid trained
  • Be educated on the health needs of the congregation
  • Actively participate with the East Zion District Nurses Ministry
  • Assist in developing health education and promotion programs
  • Identify grants available for health programs development
