Homegoing Celebration - Rev. Dr. John A. Reed, Jr.

The Homegoing Celebration for Rev. Dr. John A. Reed, Jr., will be held at Fairview Baptist Church.  The body will lie in state from 9 – 10am and the Celebration will begin promptly at 10am.  There will be no viewing following the service.  Saturday’s service is for the following only:
  • The Family of Reverend Reed
  • The Fairview Missionary Baptist Church Family
  • Central Baptist Church, Chandler, Reverend James E. Reed, Sr., Pastor
  • Galilee Baptist Church, Shawnee, Reverend Anthony Rhone, Pastor
  • Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Muskogee, Reverend Gary Hall, Pastor (formerly pastored by the late Reverend Dr. John A. Reed, Sr.)
  • Pastors and Ministers and their wives
    • All others should plan to attend Friday night’s Service or watch Saturday’s service by livestream.

In anticipation of an over capacity crowd at Fairview, Frederick Douglass High School Auditorium, 900 N. Martin Luther King Avenue, Oklahoma City, will be used for overflow seating on Saturday, and the service can be viewed through streaming. 

Friday night and Saturday services will be livestreamed nationwide through Fairview’s social media streams, Facebook and YouTube (Fairview Missionary Baptist Church of OKC).

Parking Details:
Parking: Due to limited parking at the church, the church parking lot for Saturday’s service is reserved for the family and designated dignitaries only. ALL OTHERS should park at Douglass High School (900 N. Martin Luther King Blvd). Shuttles will begin running, beginning at 8:30am to transport attendees to and from the church.
