Fairview Church Schedule Prayer Focus

Dr. John A. Reed, Jr., Senior Pastor of Fairview Baptist Church, has designated the month of January as Prayer Focus month for his congregation. All preaching and teaching during the month of January will focus on prayer. During Wednesday night Bible Study and Sunday School discussion groups, the church will explore “What the Bible Says About Prayer,” Matthew 6:5-8.
Two special events are scheduled: The Annual Super Prayer Meeting and the Annual Prayer Seminar, under the direction of Prayer Coordinator Sister Tracy Banks.
The Super Prayer Meeting will be held on Wednesday night, January 7, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The evening will include a worship celebration and a special prayer period. The preacher for the service will be Rev. Morris Holmes, Senior Pastor of Higher Ground Baptist Church and music will be provided by Higher Ground Church choir. Rev. Holmes has served as Pastor at Higher Ground for over 20 years.
On Saturday, January 10, the church will be engaged in a Prayer Seminar from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. The agenda will include presentations on prayer. Rev. Rodney Payne, Pastor of Bethlehem Star Baptist Church, will be the featured guest speaker. Pastor Payne is a dynamic preacher that possesses a unique ability in presenting the Word of God in a manner that is applicable to current times and situations. He is dedicated to teach the world how to live in the love of God, walk in the will of God, and experience the power of God. Other items on Saturday’s agenda include prayer emphases, prayer requests and a prayer commitment period. The seminar is open to the public and there is no cost for participation.
The community is invited to be a part of the Super Prayer Meeting, the Prayer Seminar and other worship and study periods during the month.
