Fairview Fall Christian Leadership School (CLS) Scheduled

Fairview Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1700 N. E. 7th Street in Oklahoma City, will hold its Fall Session Christian Leadership School (CLS) November 12 and 13, 2021. The CLS has been approved and certified by the Sunday School Publishing Board (SSPB) of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. (NBC, USA, Inc.).
The school will be in session Friday night from 6:00pm-9:00p.m. and Saturday from 8:30a.m.-12:30p.m. and will be held onsite at the church. COVID protocols will be in place and face masks are required. Enrollment is open to anyone interested in furthering their Christian Education or earning course credit toward certification through the SSPB.
Courses offered, and instructors, are: “Introduction to the Bible,” Minister Johnneese Walter; “Baptist Doctrine,” Sister Damaris Turner; “Christian Evangelism,” Minister Cleo McGlory; and “Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts,” Sister Lillian House.
Registration is now open and can be completed online with the option to pay online through the church website at www.fairviewokc.com. Mail-in forms can be downloaded through the website. Onsite registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday evening, November 12. Tuition Donation is $15.00 per course. Pre-registration is encouraged to ensure admission in the desired course. Classes will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional information, i.e., course descriptions, school schedule, etc., is available on the church’s website.
Lavinnie L. Moore, Oklahoma Baptist State Congress and East Zion Consolidated District Association Congress of Christian Education Dean, is Fairview’s Christian Education Director and will serve as Dean for the CLS. Dr. John A. Reed, Jr., is Senior Pastor at Fairview.
