Fairview Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate Langston University Day and Scholarship Sunday on February 14, 2016.   A part of Black History Month at the church, Fairview uses this special occasion to recognize Langston University, the only historically black university (HBCU) in the state of Oklahoma, and to raise funds for the John A. and Patricia Reed Scholarship Fund, a fund that assists students that are enrolled in a recognized school of higher education, post high school.

Langston’s President, Dr. Kent J. Smith, Jr., the University choir, and the entire Langston community will join Fairview on this day.  Dr. Smith will deliver greetings and the choir will sing during the 10 a.m. worship period.
