Fairview Host State Congress

Congress of Christian Education Scheduled June 4 - 7

The 106th Annual Session of the Oklahoma Baptist State Congress of Christian Education will be hosted by Fairview Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor J. A. Reed, Jr., serving as host pastor.  

 
This year’s theme is “Solidarity With the Savior Through Our Worship.”  The Congress is the educational arm of the Oklahoma Baptist Convention and is responsible for teaching and trading classes covering every aspect of Christian Education.   
 
The session will begin with a Pre-Congress Musical and Welcome Program on Monday night at 7pm.  Fairview’s Music Ministry will participate in the Musical.    Ministry members should contact Sis. J. Walter, Minister of Music,  for details.
 
The Congress will officially open on Tuesday.  Classes will be held from 8:00—10:00 a.m. and from 2:00—4:00 p.m.  Classes are available for adults as well as children and youth.  Fairview members interested in attending classes should notify Sister Walter in the church office at 405-232-1621 or by email at fairviewokc@aol.com.

Rev. Don Dumas, Pastor of Dean's Chapel Baptist Church in Muskogee, is the President of the OBS Congress.  Dr. C. W. Whitlow of Union Baptist, Lawton, is Convention President.
