Fairview Missionary Baptist Church’s Social Action Ministry will sponsor a political forum on Monday, July 19, 2010 at 6:30pm. The event will take place at Fairview in the fellowship hall. Oklahoma City KOCO News Channel 5 Morning Anchor Anita Blanton will serve as the forum’s Moderator. Candidates invited include those for State Senate, District 46, State Senate, District 48, State House of Representatives, District 97, State House of Representatives, District 99, and Oklahoma County Commissioner, District 1.  

 

The forum is designed to increase voter participation as well as provide a method for members of the community to learn more about their local political candidates. Questions posed to the candidates will include generic questions developed by the Social Action Committee as well as questions that will be submitted by the audience.
