Fairview Participate in ShareFest

Food Giveway - 2012

By M. Patterson |  April 9, 2012

Fairview Baptist Church, located at 1700 N E 7th Street, is joining other metro-area congregations in an effort to unify the Body of Christ, to inspire real hope and to offer real help through support of Revive, Inc.’s  ShareFest 2012.   The purpose of ShareFest is to glorify God by serving the needs of the community -- blessing neighborhoods, families, schools and other special groups.

Fairview’s project includes a Food Giveaway that will be held at the church on April 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  The Food Giveaway provides an avenue for the Fairview Family to reach out to meet the needs of individuals in the community.

Those that would benefit from additional means to supplement their monthly food needs are encouraged to take advantage of this resource.  There is no required household size.  Targeted recipients include senior citizens, underemployed, unemployed or college students that may be responsible for meals.   Recipients will need to provide some form of identification and certify household size (number of adults and children), zip code and income and must live in Oklahoma County.  Information provided is confidential.  Food items include fresh meats, fresh fruits, vegetables, staples, and other nutritional items.  Printed materials are available in English and Hispanic.

For additional information on the Food Giveaway, call the church at 405-232-1621 or email fairviewokc@aol.com.  To know more about Revive, Inc., visit their website at www.revive.org.
