Fairview Pastor to be Honored for 49 Years of Service
Anniversary Celebration for Dr. & Mrs. J. A. Reed, Jr.

Fairview Missionary Baptist Church will observe the 49th Pastoral Anniversary of Dr. and Mrs. John A. Reed, Jr., and family during the month of March. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Being the Church Today: Honoring God's Servant,” Hebrews 13:17.
Worship celebrations will be held on March 18, 21 – 23 and 25. Rev. Reginald C. Payne, Pastor of the Full Gospel Baptist Church, Los Angeles, California, will be the guest preacher on Sunday, March 18, for the 10:00 a.m. worship period. The 49th Celebration will continue with evening worship Wednesday through Friday nights, March 21—23. Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. nightly. Wednesday night’s guest churches and pastors are: Unity Baptist, Rev. Mike Woodberry; Wildewood Baptist, Rev. Earl Bryant; Greater Shiloh Baptist, Rev. Orlando Black; Higher Ground Baptist, Rev. Morris Holmes; and Fellowship Baptist, Rev. Vance Roland. Rev. Mike Woodberry will bring the message for the evening and scheduled churches will provide music.
Thursday night’s churches and pastors are: Holy United, Rev. Ricky Patton; Paradise Baptist, Rev. Wilbert Triplet; St. James Baptist, Rev. Eddie White; Followers of Christ Baptist, Rev. Don Horton; and Antioch Institutional Baptist, Rev. Gregory Rogers, Sr. Thursday night’s message will be by Rev. Ricky Patton with music by visiting choirs.
On Friday night, March 23, the following churches and pastors will be a part of the celebration: New Hope Baptist, Rev. E. Jennings Tyson; Northeast Baptist, Rev. Michael McDaniel; Mt. Rose Baptist, Rev. Harvey Wallace; Tabernacle Baptist, Dr. Daryl Hairston; and Christian Faith Baptist, Rev. Eddie Baker. Rev. Tyson of New Hope will bring Friday night’s message and attending choirs will sing.
The Celebration will end on Sunday, March 25. Guest churches for the morning will be Central Baptist, Chandler, Rev. James E. Reed, Sr., Pastor, and Loving Mt. Calvary Baptist, Muskogee, Rev. Gary Hall, Pastor. Rev. James Reed will bring the 10:00 a.m. message with music by the visiting choirs.
At 3:00 p.m., churches and pastors scheduled to attend include: St. John Missionary Baptist, Dr. Major Jemison; Emmanuel Baptist, Rev. Chester West; New Covenant Baptist, Rev. James Bradford; Greater Bethel Baptist, Rev. Teron Gaddis; Tabitha Baptist, Rev. Jeff Mitchell; Galilee Baptist, Shawnee, Rev. Anthony Rhone; New Hope Baptist, Chickasha, Rev. Al Walter; Antioch Full Gospel Baptist, Bishop Lester Cezar; Macedonia Baptist, Wewoka, Rev. Lee Benson; First Baptist, Purcell, Rev. Ricky McNeal, Central Baptist, Chandler, Rev. James E. Reed, Sr., and Loving Mt. Calvary Baptist, Muskogee, Rev. Gary Hall. The afternoon message will be brought by Dr. Major Jemison of St. John Missionary Baptist Church with music by visiting choirs.
The community is invited to join with Fairview in showing appreciation and love to this servant and his family. Dr. Reed not only serves faithfully as shepherd at Fairview but also gives of himself daily to those of the community, throughout the state and nation.
