Fairview Youth Revival Scheduled

Oklahoma City area youth are invited to join with the youth of Fairview in celebration of the church’s annual youth activities. This year’s lineup is catered to young people in every way and will include a Youth Rally on Saturday, August 18, and the Annual Youth Revival scheduled for Sunday, August 19, through Wednesday, August 22 Saturday’s Youth Rally will feature Fairview youth and various youth groups from around the city, presenting poetry, music, and dance. The Rally will be an afternoon of spirit-filled fun and excitement. It will be held in Fairview’s Donald Burns Fellowship Hall, beginning at 12 noon. Refreshments will be served. The Youth Revival will begin with 10:00 a.m. worship on Sunday, August 18, and continue Monday through Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. nightly. Rev. Reginald L. Bachus, Pastor of the historic Mt. Ollie Baptist Church of Brooklyn, New York will serve as Evangelist and will preach for each worship period. There will be guest churches, artists, and groups each night of the Revival. Reginald “Reggie” Bachus is a native of Kansas City, Kansas. He was called to pastor Mt. Ollie in April 2011. He answered his call to the Gospel ministry in the summer of 2003 and was licensed and ordained under the pastorate of his grandfather and spiritual father in the ministry, Rev. Dr. C. L. Bachus, Pastor of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas. Rev. Bachus received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Prairie View A & M University in Texas and a Master’s of Divinity from Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut. He has been blessed with the opportunity to preach in pulpits across the nation. He has also filled the positions of keynote speaker, panelist, and judge for multiple academic, religious, and social institutions. But he is first and foremost a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ who lives by the creed, “woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!” (1 Corinthians 9:16). More information on Rev.
