Pastors Scheduled to Lead Music Seminar

Pastors Joe Carter & Bertheophilis Bailey at Fairview

The community is invited to be a part of a Music Seminar sponsored by Fairview Baptist Church’s Music Ministry.  The seminar will be held at the church on Saturday, July 14, and will begin at 9:00 a.m.
 
The selected theme is “Being the Church Music Ministry Today – Embracing the past; enhancing the present; evolving toward the future!” 
 
The agenda will include a session on Choir Decorum and Etiquette, with Mrs. Johnneese S. Walter, Minister of Music at Fairview, as presenter.  Other sessions will be led by guest clinicians Rev. Joe A. Carter, Pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church, Newark, New Jersey, and Rev. Bertheophilus Bailey, Pastor, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Claremore, Oklahoma.
 
Rev. Carter will be the facilitator for musicians, discussing “The Ministry of the Musician – Past, Present, Future!”  Rev. Bailey will facilitate the session for choir members, “Making Modern Sense out of Traditional Music!”
 
Choir members, musicians and directors, pastors and church worshippers desiring to enhance their worship experience through the embracement of church music are encouraged to be a part of this event.  Registration is $20 and includes continental breakfast and lunch.
