State Women’s President to Speak at Fairview

Fairview’s Annual Women’s Conference will be held Saturday, October 5, at Fairview Baptist Church. The theme is “Women Becoming Godly Disciples through Strong Discipline,” corresponding with the church’s 2013 theme, “The Disciplines of Discipleship.”
The event will begin at 8:30am with registration and a continental breakfast. The agenda includes a list of discussion topics that addresses “Rules for discipline for believer.” The believer must: (1) Deny self of anything that would weigh her down and hold her back, Hebrews 12:1; (2) Place her all upon the altar of the Lord, Romans 12:1-20; (3) Keep her eyes fixed on Christ and not look to the left or to the right, Hebrews 12:2; and (4) Find her strength in the Lord, Ephesians 6:10-18.
The featured speaker for the Conference is Sister Marcene Mackey, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sister Mackey serves as President of the Oklahoma Baptist State Convention Women’s Ministry.
Conference registration for Fairview Women’s Ministry members is $25. Guest registration is $10.00. The registration cost includes a continental breakfast, lunch and conference materials.
