Men's Empowerment Conference Scheduled
 

The Men’s Ministry of the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church, 1700 N. E. 7th Street in Oklahoma City, will observe its 9th Annual Empowerment Conference on Friday and Saturday, May 31 and June 1, 2013.  The theme for this year’s Conference is “Building Men into Men of God,” I Chronicles 23:14.

Friday’s activity will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will entail of a dinner program.  The keynote speaker will be Reverend Dr. Don Dumas, President of the Oklahoma Baptist State Congress of Christian Education and Pastor of Deans Chapel Baptist Church, Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Saturday’s agenda will begin with a Continental Breakfast at 8:30 a.m.  Devotional Service begins at 8:45 a.m. and the Lecture Series will begin at 9:00 and continue through 12:00 noon.

The facilitators for the Saturday session are Rev Frank McClarty, Pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Oklahoma City; Rev. Vance Roland, Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, Spencer, Oklahoma; and Rev. Wilbert Tripplett, Pastor of Paradise Baptist Church, Forest Park.

Registration donation for each adult, 18 years of age and older, is $20 for both sessions; for young men under 18, registration is $10.   Visitors attending on Friday night only would contribute $10.   Children, 11 years of age and under, must be chaperoned.  Women are welcome to participate in the Conference. 

Checks and money orders should be made payable to Fairview Baptist Church, Attn:  Men’s Ministry.  Payments should be mailed to P. O. Box 36188, Oklahoma City, OK  73136.

On Sunday evening, June 2, the Singing Churchmen of Fairview will host their Annual Musical, which will include singing male groups from across the City.  The concert will begin at 5:00 p.m.

The entire community is invited to join the men of Fairview in this great yearly celebration.   Brother Charles Hardrick is Director of Fairview’s Men’s Ministry and Rev. Dr. John A. Reed, Jr., is Senior Pastor at the church.
